Local Prudential New Jersey Properties Associate Devotes Her Time to Local Community
METUCHEN, NJ (March 19, 2007) –Ophelia Boyd, a new associate with Prudential New Jersey Properties’ Metuchen Office, is surprisingly humble when talking about her many organization involvements. As a dedicated member of several groups that benefit African Americans, women and people in need, Boyd has dedicated her time outside of real estate to help her local community any way she can.
“I’ve always felt strongly about giving back to the areas where I work and live, even before I entered the real estate industry” says Boyd. “I’m proud to be associated with organizations that make a difference and bring awareness about the issues faced in local communities.”
An active member of The National Council of Negro Women, Boyd helps provide health, educational and monetary support to African American women. She also assists in the development of multiple outreach programs, including community seminars, empowerment campaigns, and local scholarship programs.
Among her numerous community affiliations, Boyd is the treasurer for the Women’s Political Caucus in Somerset, an organization which encourages women to venture into the male-dominated political arena. She also is a volunteer for the United Way. The most recent program she participates in is “Stuff the Bus,” which provides school supplies to underprivileged students.
Many of the qualities Boyd developed through her philanthropic efforts – dedication, patience, attention to detail — she now puts to use for her real estate clients. A successful associate, she has earned the Quality Service Certification, for her strong commitment to customer service, and has gained membership in the Garden State and Middlesex Multiple Listing Services. As a resident of North Plainfield, Boyd serves residential communities throughout Middlesex and specializes in multi-level family homes and investment property.
