Hillsborough Township Included in Money magazine’s Top 100 Places to Live
Hillsborough, NJ (July 30, 2007) - Hillsborough Township was recently ranked number 23 in Money magazine’s “Best Places to Live: Top 100.” The list was developed by comparing small cities and towns that boast financial opportunity, safe communities and high-quality education.

“We are proud that Hillsborough has been chosen to represent the best New Jersey has to offer,” says Donna Perk, manager of Prudential New Jersey Properties’ Hillsborough office. “At Prudential New Jersey Properties our responsibility is to our clients. We feel comfortable showing off our Hillsborough properties because we know our clients will receive all that they are looking for, a beautiful and accommodating community.”

Located in Somerset County, approximately 15 minutes from Princeton and New Brunswick, Hillsborough has made a name for itself as one of the most pleasant towns in New Jersey. Explored by the Dutch in the mid-1600’s, the town’s history can be traced from the Lenape Indians up through 1771, when the town received its charter.

One of Hillsborough’s main characteristics is its abundant open space and farm land, which the town frequently purchases and preserves. Residents are protective of their land, and have fought to keep the town from being overdeveloped. An excellent school system attracts young families. The community also includes a wide variety of restaurants, shops and medical resources, making it a diverse and great place to live.

“Being not only a resident, but also a member of the real estate community, gives me an insight into Hillsborough that few people have,” says Estelle Julian, sales associate for PNJP’s Hillsborough office. “The town has so much to offer its residents and our clients really see that. I truly enjoy bringing buyers to Hillsborough because I am confident that they will be warmly welcomed and find a real home within the community.”

Information on home buying and selling in the area, access to all real estate related services, and details about a career in real estate are available by contacting Donna Perk at the Hillsborough Office of Prudential New Jersey Properties, 408 Rt. 206 South, 908-874-3400.
